Discipleship Groups | 2026-2027
Sign Up Today • Groups Launch August 30
A D-Group (Discipleship Group) is a small, closed group of 4–5 men or 4–5 women who commit to walking together for one year with one purpose: becoming more like Jesus and helping others do the same.
Unlike a Life Group, which emphasizes community and broader Bible study, a D-Group is designed for intentional spiritual growth, accountability, and multiplication.
During the year, you can expect to:
Read Scripture every week.
Memorize key Bible verses.
Journal through the Bible using the HEAR method.
Meet weekly for discussion, accountability, and prayer.
Pray regularly for one another.
Look for opportunities to share the gospel.
Prepare to lead or help start another D-Group when the year concludes.
What We're Asking Of You
By signing up, you are committing to:
Attend weekly gatherings faithfully.
Complete the weekly Bible reading and journaling before each meeting.
Participate honestly in accountability and discussion.
Pray for your group members throughout the week.
Pursue personal obedience to Christ—not just biblical knowledge.
Remain committed to the group for the full one-year journey.
Seek to multiply by helping make disciples after completing the group.
D-Groups are closed groups, meaning no new members will be added after the group begins. This allows trust, consistency, and meaningful accountability to grow over time.
Is a D-Group Right for Me?
A D-Group may be a good fit if you desire to:
Grow in your walk with Christ.
Develop consistent habits of Bible reading and prayer.
Build authentic relationships centered on the gospel.
Receive and give biblical encouragement and accountability.
Be equipped to make disciples of others.
Before You Sign Up
Please prayerfully consider whether you can make this commitment. D-Groups require intentionality and consistency. They are not designed to fit into an already full schedule—they become part of your rhythm of following Jesus.
If you're ready to invest one year pursuing Christ alongside a few other believers, we'd love for you to join us.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I join a D-Group if I'm already in a Life Group?
Life Groups and D-Groups serve different purposes and complement one another. Life Groups help you grow in biblical community through fellowship, care, and discussion. D-Groups are smaller, high-commitment groups that focus on intentional spiritual formation, accountability, and helping one another become disciple-makers. We encourage believers to participate in both.
Who can join a D-Group?
Any believer who is ready to make a one-year commitment to intentional discipleship is welcome to apply. Because D-Groups are designed for spiritual growth and accountability, we encourage new believers to speak with a pastor or elder if they have questions about whether a D-Group is the right next step.
How long does a D-Group last?
Each D-Group meets for approximately one year. During that time, members commit to growing together through Scripture, prayer, accountability, Scripture memory, and gospel conversations.
What is the weekly commitment?
Members commit to:
Daily Bible reading
Weekly Scripture memory
Personal prayer
Honest accountability
Sharing the gospel with others
Attending a weekly D-Group meeting whenever possible
Can I join after groups begin?
No. D-Groups are intentionally closed once they begin. This allows members to build trust, develop meaningful accountability, and journey through the year together.
What if I miss a meeting?
We understand that vacations, illness, and unavoidable conflicts happen. Faithful participation is expected, but grace is always extended when life circumstances arise. Members should communicate with their group leader whenever they are unable to attend.
Are D-Groups co-ed?
No. D-Groups are gender-specific to encourage open conversation, biblical accountability, and meaningful relationships.
How many people are in a D-Group?
Most groups consist of one leader and three to five participants. Keeping groups small encourages participation, transparency, and meaningful discipleship.
Where and when do D-Groups meet?
Each group determines the meeting location and time based on the availability of its members. Groups may meet in homes, coffee shops, workplaces, or other appropriate locations.
What happens after I complete a D-Group?
Our hope is that every participant will continue making disciples. Many graduates will prayerfully consider leading or helping launch a future D-Group, investing in others the same way someone invested in them (2 Tim. 2:2).
What if more people sign up than we have room for?
If more people apply than we can place this year, we will begin a waitlist and prayerfully work toward training and launching additional D-Groups as leaders become available.
Ready to take your next step?
If you're ready to deepen your walk with Christ, commit to intentional spiritual growth, and help others become more like Jesus, we'd love for you to apply for a D-Group. We look forward to seeing how God works through these groups to strengthen His church and multiply faithful disciples. (2 Tim. 2:2)
