LIFE Groups

A Life Group at First Baptist Malakoff is a smaller gathering of believers who meet regularly to grow as disciples of Jesus together. In Life Groups, we pursue our seven discipleship outcomes—Believing, Obeying, Praying, Connecting, Stewarding, Witnessing, and Guiding—through Bible-centered study, prayer, encouragement, and shared life. Life Groups are essential because spiritual growth does not happen in isolation. As we gather consistently (Heb. 10:23–25), we learn to apply God’s Word (Jas. 1:22), pray for one another (Heb. 4:16), and help one another mature in Christ (Col. 1:28–29). Simply put, Life Groups are where our church’s mission moves from the worship center into everyday life—where we move beyond attendance and intentionally grow together as hope-filled disciples of Jesus.

APOLOGETICS

The English word "apology" comes from a Greek word which means "to give a defense." Christian apologetics, then, is the art and science of giving a defense of what we believe as Christians. The first of a four-part series on apologetics begins with a defense of who God is and what truth is. This course is vital for adult Christians as so many of us have difficulty communicating what we believe in a clear and loving way.

The Book of hebrews

The book of Hebrews offers a rich and theologically profound exploration of the supremacy of Christ. It presents Jesus as greater than angels, Moses, the priesthood, and the sacrificial system, revealing Him as the fulfillment of the old covenant and the mediator of a better covenant. Through careful exposition and urgent exhortation, Hebrews calls believers to persevere in faith, hold fast to their confession, and draw near to God with confidence because of Christ’s finished work.
